Country School. By 1901 Iowa was "American's Country School Capital," with 12,623 one-room school houses. Jasper County, Iowa had several two-room schools. During the 1800's and early 1900's, schools were organized into three terms, with two months in the fall, four in the winter, and two in the spring iwth a short break between.
The last one-room school house in Jasper County to close its doors was Warren Grove School in Fairview Township, in the the year 1966.Herman Deaton's miniature sculpture of a girl bottle feeding a small animal.

Our past, our heritage and our treasures, rich in tradition, retained for future generations to graft into their own culture.
